Can a Text replace a Business Card???

iLoop Mobile Inc. had something really cool on their website that caught my attention.  Basically you used their name as the keyword and texted that to their shortcode to get their contact information, similar to a business card.  I wonder just how effective this might be at trade shows or different events where everybody wants your business card?

Text "Hotel" to "Beers"

I always visit ESPN.com and I have been seeing a lot of this Bud Light campaign on their home page.  You could win a trip to Dallas to attend Bud Light sponsored events during the Super Bowl.  The Grand Prize is a 4 night trip for 2 to Dallas from February 3-7 and it includes airfare, hotel, and access to all Bud Light Sponsored events.  If you haven't bought tickets and need to go try this!!!

GreatClips and their Text Messaging Campaign

I have been watching the College Football Bowl Games all week and have noticed GreatClips text messaging campaign commercials.  It's smart because you have tons of men watching the games on their T.V.  I would love to win an Insignia Home Theater System so I had to participate.  All you have to do is text "Cave" to "Whale" and you are entered into their contest.  If you are in need of an Ultimate Man-Cave makeover you should participate, the contest ends January 31 of 2011.
